Not all recipients will generate a match through Confirmation of Payee. This could happen if:
- The recipient’s bank or building society are not enrolled in the Confirmation of Payee system
- The recipient has requested their bank to keep their details anonymous.
Being unable to find a match does not automatically mean there is something wrong with the transaction, however, you should take extra care to be sure that you have entered the correct details and that nothing seems suspicious about the transaction.
